Jonathan Chell

Captain

UK

Born and raised in West Yorkshire, England, Jonathan began his working life as a chef in some of the best establishments in the North of England and then in America. Hospitality and management are his two professional pleasures, and in 2006 he had the opportunity to combine these two passions and join a 30m superyacht as a chef. In 2009, Jonathan took his captain’s license and has been at the helm of vessels cruising the Mediterranean ever since. Jonathan loves to find those lesser-known anchorages and show guests places they’ve never seen before. He’s a big fan of Greece, particularly Corfu as a charter destination, and still enjoys liaising with the chef to secure fresh local produce. Aboard Andiamo, Jonathan thinks the sun deck is the yacht’s finest feature but also recommends an afternoon in the beach club.

Hilary Chell

Chef

UK

Hilary trained as a chef in the late 90’s in Manchester, UK, and went on to study hotel management at Sheffield University. After running restaurants with her husband Jonathan, (Andiamo’s Captain) in North Carolina USA, they joined the superyacht industry together in 2006. Hilary has a keen interest in nutrition and enjoys exercise. She likes to create menus with a nutritional balance and cater to specific guest requirements. Hilary has come to have an expert knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and where to get the best provisions. Whilst you’re onboard, Hilary recommends a cocktail or a coffee on the aft deck sofas – she thinks this is the most relaxing spot on the boat. Hilary and Jonathan live between Biot in the South of France and Yorkshire in England, as well as wherever the yacht takes them!

Cameron Menton

Chief Officer

South Africa

Cameron’s yachting experience began during the summer of 2019. What was initially meant to be a gap year became a career when he fell in love with the industry and being on the water. South African-born Cameron says that Bonifacio is the most incredible place he’s visited to date, and he loves capturing drone footage of the destinations the boat visits and the boat itself. Cameron thrives in the fast-paced nature of the yachting industry and the camaraderie that comes with it.

Emily Preece

Chief Stewardess

UK

Emily always knew her career would center around travel and creating an amazing experience for people. Emily grew up in Surrey, England, and studied fashion, French and English. Emily has worked on several busy charter vessels and enjoys the busy, fast-paced lifestyle and high standards that a charter yacht must uphold. She likes creating imaginative tablescapes and themed nights for guests, with Greek, Asian, and white parties being some of her favorites. If you’re looking for a less intimidating water toy to have a go with, Emily recommends the e-foil. Onboard, the main saloon is her favorite aspect of the boat due to its color scheme and natural light. Emily has a great eye for detail – an essential talent for a chief stew!

Marcus Ranch Rasmussen

Chief Engineer

Denmark

Marcus grew up on a farm in the Danish countryside. After finishing high school, he worked as a truckdriver before studying Technical and Marine Engineering through a Maersk University contract. After graduating as an Engineer, Marcus worked for Maersk Line on 3/3 rotation and took short contracts aboard yachts during his holidays. Marcus now holds a Chief Engineer Unlimited Commercial ticket and is starting his 4th year in yachting. He keeps Andiamo running fault-free and can tell you about the workings of every mechanical part. The engine control room is his kingdom!
